Job Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of BI & Informatics, the DBA plans, coordinates, organizes, and oversees the maintenance and development of all servers in the department. This position also validates security for users and applications for which the department is responsible. The position supports the standardizing, cleaning, and scrubbing of data merged from disparate sources into the Data Warehouse as well as performs Quality Assurance checks on products produced for the clients. The DBA works with management to build and maintain data structures and procedures which meet EPIC business needs and ensures the optimum operation and HIPAA security of EPIC databases.



Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Business Informatics, Business Administration or specialized discipline in the field of job responsibility, or equivalent discipline from an accredited university. Master’s degree as stated above preferred. At least five years progressive experience in the health care industry with at least one year supervisory responsibilities.
