Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring high quality and cost-effective health service to patients; and coordinates medical standards with patient-centered performance criteria

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Current CA RN licensure. Current BLS (American Heart Association). ACLS certification must be obtained with 90 days of hire. PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Specialty certifications preferred. RN I – new grad up to two years of nursing experience in a hospital, managed care, skilled nursing or other health care setting. At least two years of experience in facility-based nursing preferred. RN II – Three or more years as an RN with a broad spectrum of clinical experience. ER/critical care, Home Health or case management experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to handle stressful situations; to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized manner; to work quickly, accurately and independently; and, to anticipate needs and solve problems.
