Technologist I/II possesses professional working knowledge and the
essential skill functions as it relates to the position required to properly
perform General imaging exams. The Technologist is responsible for providing
direct patient care services as ordered by physicians. The technologist
provides education and communicates with the patient, family and other
healthcare workers. Performs age specific (ranging from newborns to geriatrics)
general radiographs, urgent care trauma and fluoroscopic exams. Knowledge of
radiation exposure techniques and contrast media is required. The technologist
assists the Radiologist with special procedures.
School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion training program in
Radiologic Technology. Radiology
Technician I - A new graduate or a technologist with less than two years of
experience in a hospital or clinic environment.
Technologist with one year of experience preferred. Radiology Technician II – Two or more years of experience in a
hospital or clinic environment. CRT certification in Radiology and Fluoroscopy
with the State of California Department of Public Health/Radiologic Health
Branch. Current BLS certification or must be obtained within three (3) months
of date of hire to remain employed.
