Job Description

The Pharmacist is our subject matter expert on pharmaceutical agents and pharmacotherapy issues. The Pharmacist provides advice to management staff throughout EPIC as well as delivers high quality medication-related services to patients while working collaboratively with them and the other members of the patient’s care team. The Pharmacist is also responsible for developing and running effective and efficient pharmacy-related programs, which includes developing and maintaining medication reconciliation and adherence programs, and determining and tracking appropriate metrics to monitor and continually improve processes, performance and quality. The Pharmacist must effectively utilize and manage supporting ancillary professionals such as pharmacy technicians. Given the rapidly-changing nature of the current health care environment, the Pharmacist must be flexible, and must be able and willing to apply their expertise to any applicable situation that may arise. 


Doctorate of Pharmacy from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).  ASHP-Accredited PGY – 1 Residency (Pharmacoeconomics or Managed Care). Medicare/Medicaid experience preferred. Two (2) years of pharmacy experience. Managed care experience in health plan, PBM, or medical group preferred. Current valid California Pharmacist license. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
