Job Description
Under the direction of the VP, Medical
Administration, the Medical Management Data Analyst (MMDA) supports all Medical
Management Department units and their activities in achieving their strategic
and tactical goals. The ability to thoroughly understand and deliver on the
reporting and analytical requirements of the Medical Management Department,
various regulators, health plans, other EPIC departments, vendors, outside
business partners and other entities is a necessity.
The MMDA completes report generation and analytical
data-based activities which include user/process analysis and documentation,
advanced report writing and the merging of data from disparate source systems
into datasets which are accurate and optimized for reporting/data mining.
Assembles and/or facilitates the delivery of this data/information via a
variety of software systems, applications and tools, including but not limited
to: the EPIC data warehouse, Health Access, Power Pivot, Tableau, SQL Server
Reporting Services, Active Server Pages and bulk delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Science Degree in Computer Science,
MIS or related field. Master’s Degree in related field preferred. Three – five years of
healthcare operations experience in a managed care environment with claims data
processing knowledge as well as SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server
Analysis Services. Excellent communication, organizational, and
documentation skills. Ability to accept new responsibilities with a
willingness to see problems through to a successful conclusion. Ability to deliver
reports and analyses on time, and with excellent quality. Advanced knowledge
and commensurate hands on skill set with diverse software systems, applications
and tools such as: the EPIC data warehouse, Health Access, Power Pivot,
Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, Active Server Pages and bulk delivery. Working
knowledge of claims processing and medical management processes and workflows.
