The LVN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the
day to day operations of an assigned department. Works with the employees on
the floor to assist and monitor the nursing care. Participates as a member of
the nursing administrative team.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduation
from an accredited LVN school of nursing, or have completed coursework allowing candidate to
challenge the VN Board of Nursing and attain LVN designation. At least two years of experience as an LVN.
Five years of experience with knowledge of management skills preferred. Current
State of California LVN licensure. BLS Certification
(American Heart Association) and IV/Phlebotomy Certification. Non-Certified IV candidates will be
considered, but must obtain certification within 6 months of hire or transfer. ACLS
and/or PALS may be required depending on the department. Personal skills
including, patient teaching; excellent interpersonal relationship and
communication skills, both verbal and written; and, a high level of problem
solving and priority setting skills. Good working knowledge and
intermediate/advanced use of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and use of the
Beaver Medical Group
