Job Description

The role of the Technical Project Manager is to plan project tasks and budget, track activities against timelines, report progress, and close projects within budget goals.  The focus of this position is for projects that are primarily or heavily weighted toward IT Infrastructure (servers, network, computer desktop hardware, voice systems). This includes an active role in coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also assist the business owner to develop the project's goals and objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in an information technology related field. Formal course (35 hours or more) in IT project management preferred.At least 4,500 hours of experience managing Information Technology projects (minimum qualification for PMP credentialing). This translates to at least 2. 25 years IT project management experience. PMP certification is desired.
