Job Description

The Director of Ambulatory Care Management (ACM) is responsible for leading the Ambulatory Care Management Unit in its quest to meet or exceed internal goals and to meet the needs of external customers.  The Director (ACM) must intimately understand EPIC care management processes and workflows, and the requirements of partner medical groups, health plans and regulatory agencies. The Director (ACM) is part of the Medical Management Department leadership team; harmonious collaboration and coordination with other leadership team members as well as company officers, vice presidents, directors, management and line staff, and personnel from clients, health plans, external vendors, consultants, and other entities is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in specialized discipline in business focus, or equivalent discipline from an accredited university. Master’s Degree preferred. At least five years of successful experience working in a variety of increasingly responsible medical management positions or at least five years of significant responsibility working closely with medical management units on related projects. At least seven years of successful experience working in a variety of increasingly responsible medical management positions or a least seven years of significant responsibility working closely with medical management units on related projects preferred. Relevant experience in non-medical management positions may be considered. Direct UM experience strongly preferred.
