Job Description
The Administrative
Assistant generally performs routine to advanced level clerical tasks requiring
moderate to advanced level education, experience and skills, but whose job
duties and responsibilities are focused on administrative tasks requiring more
than general clerical aptitude and requires a higher level of assessment,
prioritization, independent judgment and multi-tasking skills and
abilities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
or equivalent supplemented by additional course work or training in secretarial/office
programs. AA Degree in Business or Office Administration from an accredited
college, and training in medical terminology preferred. Three years of general
office work. Two years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar
position performing the duties as described herein preferred. Typing skills of
35wpm with accuracy; good working knowledge and intermediate use of MS Word,
Excel, Outlook and the Internet; ability to work quickly; accurately and
independently, and ability to anticipate needs and solve problems. Excellent
people and interpersonal skills, good communicator, self-motivated and well
organized.
