Job Description
The Director of Quality Management is responsible for monitoring the activities of the Medical Group’s IPA’S (MG/IPA) physicians in relation to the usage of hospital, skilled nursing and durable medical equipment and home health on members of the MG/IPA managed care health plans. Additional responsibilities are to review the activities of the UM/QM Committees within the framework of the guidelines and procedures established by the department, the UM/QM Committee, and Administration.
Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or Business Administration or specialized discipline in the field of job responsibility, or equivalent discipline from an accredited university. Five to seven years progressive experience in acute care setting; five years to seven years supervisory experience, and three years managerial experience; in addition three years experience in Utilization Review and Quality Management in a managed care context, such as an MSO, medical group, IPA or health plan is preferred; must have current California RN license, and valid California drivers license including proof of personal vehicle insurance; Certified Professional Health Quality (CPHQ) and Certified Case Manager (CCM); must be proficiently skilled in the application and use of Windows, Word Perfect, Excel, Outlook and Internet; Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
