EPIC Signs New Client

EPIC Management, LP is pleased to announce that Alliance Desert Physicians recently signed on as a new client. Alliance Desert Physicians is a newly formed medical group that will serve the High Desert communities of Victorville, Hesperia and Apple Valley. EPIC has been working hard to get everything in place to support the operations of Alliance, including health plan contracts, a credentialed specialty and ancillary provider network in the High Desert, patient care management processes and accounting support.

We are enthusiastic about supporting their growth and success.”

This new relationship will result in a re-entry by EPIC Management into the communities of the High Desert. EPIC departed the region when its management services agreement with Guardian terminated in June of 2008. The favorable reputation of EPIC in dealing with physicians in the High Desert communities opened the door to this new opportunity, according to Mr. Whittington.

EPIC has succesfully negociated contracts with the following health plans. Negociations have been finalized with  Aetna/ Aetna Medicare Select  and the contract is expected to be effective in May.
