Adjustment Specialist/Trainee will be a part of the Risk Adjustment Team
responsible for researching and resubmitting off multiple systems (Custody of
Code) ICD9/10 codes and assist the Risk Adjustment Supervisor’s in all aspects
of risk adjustment including, but not limited to, the research of medical
records, EPIC’s Clinical Repository, and
other data bases for additional non-submitted chronic conditions for our Senior
Patient population and the adherence to general coding compliance standards; and,
for researching and identifying problem areas and solutions for comprehensive,
accurate, submission of data for all EPIC clients. The Risk Adjustment
Specialist works closely with the Risk Adjustment Supervisor to support
assigned physicians in risk adjustment and/or auditing activities.
High School Diploma or
equivalent. Associate’s Degree in a generally related field from an accredited
college preferred.Trainee –
Six months of experience in CPT-4, ICD 10, & HCPCS or successful completion of
the EPIC Management Coding Compliance externship program.
CPC-A, COC-A, or CRC certifications Required. Specialist – Two years' previous
experience in CPT-4, ICD 9/10, & HCPCS Coding required. Practice
Management, Managed Care or Web application experience preferred. Current CPC,
COC or CRC certification required.
