Job Description

The Radiology supervisor works independently with limited supervision and under the direction of the Radiology Director and in concert with the radiologists.  The overall responsibilities are to direct and lead all department staff towards meeting customer satisfaction goals and providing timely, effective and quality patient care and services.   To continually evaluate the performance of all technical and support staff for the highest achievable work quality and compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements (OSHA, HIPPA, MQSA, etc).  Assures that all equipment is performing to the required standards and is safe for staff and patients.


Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Advanced education in supervision and management preferred. At least five years of experience as a practicing diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.  At least two years of supervisory experience, including Quality Control. Experience and/or educational course work in supervisory responsibilities preferred. ARRT and CRT certification required. Demonstration of excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and a desire to effectively instruct and lead others towards high achievement. Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced, stressful situations; to maintain accuracy and detail orientation when analyzing data and other information; to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized manner; to work quickly, accurately and independently; and, to anticipate needs and solve problems.
