The Patient Accounts Phone Representative works under minimum supervision to perform routine and complex clerical tasks; answers billing and account questions from patients, family members, visitors, and other clinic personnel; arranges for payment plans, when indicated; collects monies via credit card payments; and ensures good internal and external public relations.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Customer
Service Training preferred. One or more years front office experience in
medical office/clinic required. Two or more years of A/R experience in medical
office/clinic preferred. Appropriate English usage, spelling, grammar,
punctuation; knowledge of basic arithmetic concepts; ability to operate
standard office machines; basic application of CPT's. Excellent telephone
skills. Ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner; and
compliance with department and organization policies and procedures. Strong
verbal/written communication and customer service skills. Bilingual a plus.
