Inpatient Care Manager LVN reports to the Medical Director for Inpatient
Services. The Inpatient Care Manager LVN personally participates in providing
patient service which implements, coordinates, and monitors options for care
which best meets the member’s health needs. The goals for the Inpatient Care
Manager LVN include assuring the use of all available resources to provide high
quality, cost effect care for members while ensuring optimal outcomes.
from an accredited school of nursing with a Vocational Nursing License. Current
State of California LVN License; AA/BS degree preferred. Two or more year’s
recent experience in an acute care setting. CCM Certification desired.
Bilingual preferred but not required. Must be proficiently skilled in the
application and use of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the
Internet. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledgeable of Medicare, Inter Qual and Milliman Care Guidelines. Understands
capitation vs. fee for service. Ability to deal effectively in a demanding,
time-sensitive and stressful work environment; to work well with clients at all
levels; to multi-task in an efficient, thorough and prioritized manner; to work quickly, accurately and independently;
and to anticipate needs and solve problems. Any
combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the
stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position.
