Reports to the Vice President of
Clinical Support Services and is responsible for the administrative and
technical operations of laboratory services in coordination with contracted
provider(s) for all clients of EPIC Management contracted for such
services. In doing so, is responsible
for holding vendor to the terms and conditions of contracts. Conducts,
supervises and trains (or designee) employees in laboratory procedures. Ensures provision of high quality services in
compliance with department, Clinic, and third-party requirements. Communicates relevant issues to
physicians/providers and makes related recommendations to Administrative
team. Oversees all CLIA licensed labs,
guidelines and regulations pertaining to such as well as related quality
control issues and records.
Bachelor’s degree in the field of
job responsibility, or equivalent discipline from an accredited university.
Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the State of California
Department of Public Health. ASCP licensure preferred; Master’s degree as
stated above preferred. At least 10 years progressive experience in the health
care or similar service industry with at least five years supervisory
responsibilities. At least 15 years progressive experience as stated above
preferred. Ability to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized
manner. Good working knowledge and intermediate/advanced use of Word, Excel,
Internet. Any combination of educational and work experience that would be
equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for
consideration of this position.
